For Hire: a custom, hand-crafted Roman Legionary looking for a good fight. Like his brothers in the movie, Gladiator, he is fearless, battle-tested, and determined to make the brave, Maximus proud…The Cornicen used his cornu to signal the army for specific formations, etc.

I use a multi-layered approach for all LEGO minifig torsos, armor, weapons, and shields. I start with a plastic-adhesive spray paint and finish each element with a special metallic paint that I rub on by hand to give each piece an authentic-looking worn/oxidized bronze or iron finish. Every piece is unique because of this. Finally, I protect shield stickers with varnish.

All Torso designs have been created electronically on Adobe Illustrator and other apps and generally based on historically accurate designs that have caught my eye. The weapons, shields, and helmets are custom classics typically produced by BrickForge, Brick Warriors, and others. Please see pics for details.
